Approximately 9 hours later, at 13:24, another 7.6 magnitude earthquake occurred centered in Elbistan. The earthquake was felt in 11 provinces, especially Kahramanmaraş, Gaziantep, Hatay, Osmaniye, Adıyaman, Şanlıurfa, Malatya, Kilis, Adana and Diyarbakır.
